About Stevens' Battery Warehouse
For 25 years Stevens Battery Warehouse has been a top supplier for all your battery needs. Founded by John and Sue Stevens, this family-owned business currently has two locations: 8220 Ritchie Highway in Pasadena and 1900 Forest Drive in Annapolis.
John, a mechanical engineer for the U.S. Navy, and Sue, an office manager at A&P supermarket, opened the Battery Warehouse in 1983. Sales for the store were initially slow with less than five batteries a day being sold, but gradually the business grew increasingly successful and in 1995 John and Sue retired from the business. Their son Mike, who worked at the store since its inception, has served as owner and president for the past 13 years. "My parents were able to retire at a young age of 54 and stay retired", Stevens comments proudly.
As a successful local retailer, Stevens thoroughly enjoys "hearing customers compliment the service they receive." And that service is a direct result of Stevens experienced staff, which includes Joe Tajalle, who has worked at Stevens Battery Warehouse for more than 21 years, and Chris Barnes and Steve Bryant, who have been with the business for 14.
Stevens, a Glen Burnie native, currently lives in Pasadena with his wife Christina and their children Lauren and Matthew.
Stevens Battery Warehouse is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 7:00pm; Saturday from 9:00am to 4:00pm; and Sunday from 10:00am to 1:00pm. For more information, please call 410-544-2441.
